Patient Fund

Many of our patients are below the poverty level, and are unable to fully pay their hospital bills.  This fund was started to help provide emergent and life-saving care to such patients.

Lifestyle Medicine Center

As Africans become more educated and wealthy, they also adopt a more Western lifestyle, with the higher fat and sugar diet and the lack of exercise. As a result, we are seeing more and more patients with Obesity, Diabetes, Stroke, and Cardiovascular disease. Our hospital has reached out to the community through health programs and screenings, but we think there is a growing need for a Lifestyle Medicine Center, to provide a live-in health rehabilitation program, where patients would stay for 2 weeks and have intensive, hands-on training on ahealthy lifestyle, along with massage, hydrotherapy, and exercise therapy. The hospital has approved a proposal to remodel one of the wards into a center of healthful living, but we do not yet have the necessary funds to complete such a project. The estimated cost is US $15,000.

Ward Renovation

The hospital's Male Ward and Semi-Private Ward are in desperate need of renovation. The paint is old and peeling, the curtains are fading and tearing, and many of the faucets and light fixtures are no longer working. Toilet facilities also need to be upgraded. Estimated cost: $7,000 for each ward.

Hospital Vehicle/Ambulance

The hospital currently has one vehicle for multiple purposes, but it is unreliable and often in need of expensive repairs. We need both a utility vehicle as well as an ambulance to improve our services to the community. Estimated cost: $30,000 each.
